The 2020 Summer Deans’ Institute will be held as a virtual conference in an online-only format

Come together to celebrate and connect with some of the best minds in academic dentistry this summer at the 2020 Summer Deans’ Institute—a series of two virtual, interactive events on July 30 and 31!

FORMAT

The virtual session will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time each day.

July 30

  • General Session 1: University Perspectives for the Coronavirus Era and Beyond by Neeli Bendapudi, President, University of Louisville
  • General Session 2: Wellness, Self-Care, and Resiliency
  • Deans’ Panel

July 31

  • General Session 3: Future of Dental and General Health Care Delivery by Peter Damiano, Director, Public Policy Center, University of Iowa
  • Discussion: Curriculum Management, PPE, Patient Care, Patient Flow, Research Management, Other Topics
  • Virtual Tea Hour Networking


 

Registration for all livestream events is by invitation only, including access to on-demand content.

▶ How to Register:

  1. Click the REGISTRATION button to register for the event.
  2. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to connect to the event.
  3. Three days prior to the start of the event, you will receive two reminder emails (one for each day of the event) that will include a JOIN button for connecting to the event.

▶ How do I join the virtual event?

  1. Click the JOIN button in your confirmation email of the appropriate event to open the ADEA eLearn site.
  2. Click the JOIN LIVE WEB EVENT button on the event page to enter the session.
    (The button will appear 30 minutes before the specified start time.)

 

▶ System Check:

  • To ensure your computer is compatible for the live event, please perform a system check by clicking on the link below or by copying and pasting it into your internet browser: https://bsb.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
  • Please perform the system check on the same computer you will use for the live event. If your computer is compatible, you will receive a confirmation message on your screen and hear audio. Otherwise, please contact the Help Desk to resolve any issues.

Audio can be heard through your computer speakers. Please be sure your computer speakers are on and the volume is turned up.

No. Group registration is not possible for this event. Individual registrations are required and are by invitation only.
